Write your own E-book
You may have an area of expertise that would help a lot of people. It could be your profession, your favorite hobby, or anything that you have in depth knowledge about.
You could also be an aspiring author who has always wanted to write a book to enthrall and engross people.
In the Internet age, you can write a book and distribute it to thousands without the heartaches of trying to impress a publisher. The Internet makes it much easier to distribute an e-book, an online book, that doesn't require paper, printing, and a bookstore to sell them in. Its similar to a giant word processing document, but organized in a more readable, book-like format.

While I haven't done this myself, I realized that it is a very serious way to generate sales, because the dollar investment is very low, and I already knew how to bring targeted traffic to read about the e-book.
The one thing I would caution you about is that while an e-book wouldn't cost that much money to generate, it would take serious time to put together. That in itself is an investment. Be sure that there will already be a demand for what you're writing about and know who your potential customers will be.
